Workshop on E-waste Management

As RPSGOS supports Digital India Mission and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan , a workshop was organised by RPS International School, in collaboration with Deshwal E-waste Management on Wednesday 13 December’18 on ‘Awareness on Environmental Hazards of E-waste’. The students were briefed on the effect of dumped electronic gadgets like Refrigerator, Washing machines, Computers and Printers, Televisions, Mobiles, Ipods etc., that spread toxins in the environment. The Resource person Mr.Rakesh Kumar, Vice President, stressed on the importance of the 4-R like Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle and promoted their campaign for collection and scientific disposal of e-waste. He said that the need of the hour is to ensure that the environment is protected from the various toxins that are extremely hazardous for health. It was an informative session which made the participants realise the gravity of the problem and gave them a platform to come together and confront this issue in unison. It was an eyeopener of sorts for everyone. School Principal ,Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla said “the future of this earth lies in the hands of next generation. We have to make aware and inspire the young students to take up the new challenge.’
